Faculty Council and its Standing Committees are responsible for academic policy at OISE.  Their roles are particularly important as OISE moves towards a new academic planning process.  In the last Council, while staff positions were generally filled, we lacked full representation from faculty and graduate students.  Please consider nominating yourself. Talk to those around you about participating. Ensure that your department, program, and constituency are represented.

Newly admitted MA full-time inquiring about housemates!

Dear AECP Students,

See the ad below - a new AECD MA student looking for roommate.

Hi Students on Seven...

I was admitted to the Adult Education and Community Development MA program and I am trying to sort out housing for the coming Fall. I am from the Toronto area and actually did my undergraduate degree at U of T as well (just finished, phew).

Anyway, I am currently commuting for a few months and looking for off-campus housing in the West end, perhaps no more than about a 30 minute walking distance from OISE, for this August. Susan Hall suggested that I contact you in case any of you are aware of people searching for housemates or also searching for housing.

I am aware there is the Housing Service website offered by U of T, but I notice there is no place to post a “wanted” sort of ad for someone searching to find a fellow student to cohabit with. I am looking at bachelor’s, but figured a two bedroom is more affordable.

(If anyone is wondering, I’m a very dedicated person with my work and fairly organized, so I would make an agreeable housemate. I’m also queer/trans positive; child and pet friendly.)

Please contact Louise, at

louise.tam@utoronto.ca
